What is Dynamix Devo?

The word Dynamix is a combination of dynamic, which means active and progressing, and mix, which signifies the wide range of ages and ability levels within our group.  Devo stands for development.  Dynamix Devo is committed to exposing as many children and their families to cycling as possible while developing their skills on the bike.  Cycling is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages.  Getting kids on bikes early on gives them an activity that will keep them moving and healthy their entire life.  Our goal is to create a fun and positive experience in order to ignite that lifelong passion for exercise through cycling.  It is also a great family activity that can be enjoyed for years!

The Dynamix Story

Children these days have a myriad of options to choose from when selecting an extracurricular activity. There are leagues and clubs for soccer, baseball, dance, gymnastics, and volleyball, to names just a few. But, what is missing from this list is an option for families to participate together. So often, parents find themselves chauffeuring their children from one practice to the next. By the end of the week, there is little to no time to spend as a family. Cycling offers an activity that families can do together. This is where the idea for Dynamix came from. Parents and children can ride together to practice their skills and get some exercise all while having fun. If there is a desire to compete, the options are endless for both kids and adults! This allows for family time while creating lifelong memories for your kids while still being part of a team.

Dynamix currently has a group of several families that ride together 3-4 days a week. A number of the children currently race locally and nationally. There are many cycling disciplines to choose from, such as mountain biking, cyclocross, road and criterium racing. We have kids that choose just 1 area to focus and others that do all disciplines – and everything in between. Dynamix is dedicated to helping children develop skills in any or all of these areas while in a fun, encouraging and positive environment.
